A strong and collaborative education partnership
New Zealand values the benefit that the internationalisation of education brings to our countries, institutions and people.
China is New Zealand’s largest source country of international students accounting for 35 per cent of enrolments in 2023, and a top study destination for New Zealanders on the Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia.
There are now over 50 official joint programmes and institutes between New Zealand and Chinese tertiary providers, and many more transnational education arrangements. We look forward to working with the New Zealand education sector and international partners to support institutional partnerships at all levels.
